Alden Millard is the Partner Chair of the Executive Committee at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. With a distinguished career at the firm since 1996, Alden specializes in acquisition finance, banking and credit, corporate, and investment grade finance. He is renowned for representing leading leveraged buyout sponsors and their portfolio companies, including The Blackstone Group and First Reserve Corporation, in complex financings such as acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and refinancings. Notable transactions include the financing for Blackstone's $5 billion acquisition of The Chamberlain Group and the $20 billion partnership with Thomson Reuters. Alden holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University, and is admitted to practice in New York.
